Donna Stasiowski is the Workers’ Compensation Administrator for the Cleveland Guardians. She has been with the organization for 15 years and has a total of 23 years of experience in workers’ compensation. Donna spent eight of those years as a workers’ compensation/litigation paralegal with a law firm in Canton, Ohio. She is currently responsible for managing not only staff work injuries, but for all of the team’s Major League players, as well as the minor league players for all of their affiliates. Over the past five years, she has remained number one in workers’ compensation cost savings amongst all 30 Major League teams.

Lynette is the Manager, University Hospitals Workers’ Compensation Department in Cleveland, Ohio. Lynette graduated from Cleveland State University with a Master’s in Business Management. Lynette has been with University Hospitals since 2003 and has over 30 years of experience in managing workers’ compensation, short-term disability, FMLA, and ADA programs. New member of the University Hospitals EOC/Safety committee. Prior to joining University Hospitals, Lynette worked for a large regional TPA for over 16 years and began her career in the legal field. Todd Beresford is Senior Counsel and the Director of Workers Compensation at The Cleveland Clinic where he is responsible for the Ohio and Florida self-insured workers compensation programs as well as several large OCIP (Owner Controlled Insurance Program) construction programs. He also oversees the Employer Liability Program for Cleveland Clinic London. He has been on the Board of Managers of the Ohio Self-Insurers Association (OSIA) since 2019 and has served on the Executive Board since 2020. He is currently serving as the President of the OSIA through June 2025. He is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Florida Association of Self-Insureds (FASI). He also served as the President and Executive Director of the Iowa Self-Insured Association for over 11 years. Todd was appointed by Governor Dewine to the Self-Insuring Employers Evaluation Board (SIEIB) where he currently serves after being confirmed by the Ohio Senate. Todd has over 23 years of experience in the workers' compensation industry including over 5 years as a practicing attorney. He is a licensed attorney in Iowa, Ohio, and South Dakota. When not working, Todd and his wife enjoy spending time following their 4 kid’s numerous events and cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes, Chicago Cubs, and the Cleveland Guardians and Browns. |

Denise Evans is currently the Corporate Workers’ Compensation Director of Claims with Staffmark Group. Denise has been with Staffmark for 30 years and has over 29 years of claims management experience. She has attended and spoken at numerous workers’ compensation seminars throughout the United States. Denise was also featured in a Property Casualty 360 issue featuring successful workers’ compensation programs and Business Insurance. Denise is responsible for claims management for Staffmark Group, throughout the United States, including the National Insured Program and the Ohio Self-Insured self- administrated program. She also provides internal support by conducting workers’ compensation training for Staffmark employees and assisting with incident investigations for the Staffmark Group’s Risk Management and Safety departments. |

Loyd Hudson is an Integrated Disability Manager for AEP’s Absence Programs. Loyd is active in disability management and has 25 years of experience in American Electric Powers integrated disability management program consisting of sick leave, parental leaves, military leaves, workers’ compensation, long term disability, FMLA, and ADA. Loyd currently serves as President of the Ohio of Self Insurers, Former President and current Board Member of the West Virginia Self Insurers, Former President and current Board Member of the National Counsel of Self-Insurers, Board Member of the Louisiana Self Insurers Association, and has served as past President of the Virginia Self Insured Association.

Robert (Buz) Minor Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP (Retired) |
Prior to his retirement on January 1, 2019, Buz Minor was a partner in the Columbus office of Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP, and practiced in the area of labor and employment law. His practice included workers’ compensation defense before the agency and courts, assisting employers in obtaining self-insurance status and in resolving SI compliance issues, participation before the Ohio Supreme Court as amicus curiae, the defense of direct liability actions and employment intentional torts, and OSHA compliance and defense. Mr. Minor was the Executive Secretary of the Ohio Self-Insurers Association and served on the Executive Committee of the National Council of Self-Insurers and was its President. Mr. Minor is a frequent lecturer before national and state audiences on employer liability law and was recognized in The Best Lawyers in America.
